Fashion’s Night Out

10 Sep

Lynne can finally relax, the Christiana Mall’s “Fashion’s Night Out” met with a great turn out and rave revues from all in attendance. Preparing a Mall-wide event is no easy task, but Lynne is always up to the challenge. Events require endless meetings and coordination and don’t for get the marketing and publicity. The recession has made it essential to sponsor public events on a regular basis to keep the public interested and excited about shopping and perhaps a recovery . It goes without saying it also encourages sales, which makes the tenants excited as well.

It never ceases to amaze me how Lynne can handle the pressure and responsibility. I swear she never sleeps, she’s always planning an installation or concocting a method to work within the budget [which are never enough] Her sheer fortitude is inspiring for me.

After working solo for thirty years my energy level had started to dwindle until Lynne walked into life. I swear we have known each other in previous lifetimes, never have I met a colleague whose experience and creative solutions interface so completely with mine. We are actually of one mind, at times it’s frightening how similar our creative processes operate. Lynne has brought me a renewed interest in my profession and made it fun again, at a time when I thought I was finished, like Lennon sang “It’s just like starting over” Thanks Lynne and congratulations on a job well done.
