Vogue goes Digital

All I want for Christmas

Vogue magazine has completed the daunting task of making available EVERY past issue. That’s 120 years of fashion. The Vogue Archive will contain every page of every issue since 1892, that’s over 400 thousand images. What a resource! There is only one problem the subscription fee a whopping 1.575 bucks a year. This will be the “must have” for every fashionista. Get ready for more seasons of retro fashion than you can stand. While other publications worry about their future Vogue has risen to the challenge by making available the bible of past fashion, very impressive.

Very impressive indeed! I absolutely adore fashion history, so I’d love to see the past issues of Vogue, particularly from 1900-1930, as that period produced so many incredible designers – Paul Poiret, Madeleine Vionnet, Elsa Schiaparelli, Coco Chanel, to name but a few – and I love the mixture of classic, pared-back femininity & opulent glamour seen in designs from that period too!

Fabulous post & blog! Love your style of writing!

    Stay stylish,

    The Image Mistress, xoxo
